What does ‘pre-owned’ mean?
It means the item had a prior owner. You may find some our goods are pre-owned or “vintage” and may show signs of wear and use, so please view images and read descriptions carefully. Feel free to ask questions before purchasing to avoid dissatisfaction. We do not sell items that are damaged beyond regular everyday use. We want our customers to make a good impression and be proud of their purchase! Please see our refund policy for more information if you are unsure of your purchase.

What is the difference between new and ‘like new’?
New is brand new from the rack. Like New is still pre-owned but hardly used, if at all. These are items people have purchased/received but no longer want. For example, we once met a lady who worked at Chanel in the 80’s and had a heap of stuff she got for free!

I’m trying to get rid of something. Do you buy designer items?
Yes. All of our items are bought or consigned after careful inspection. Please do not ship goods unless requested by Haute Trotter. If you have a brand name item that you would like to sell, please email us images and details of the item/s at customerservice@hautetrotter.com.

Are your products authentic?
Yes. All of our finds are from reputable sources, which follow a thorough authentication process. We do not sell or support fakes, and all goods are inspected for craftsmanship, among other things, to ensure the highest of quality.

I saw an item in your Catalog / Lookbook / FB page. How do I get it?
All our promoted items are available on our shop. Be quick as we only carry one of most of our items. We do not guarantee availability.

I want a specific luxury item but I don’t have time to shop. Can you find me something?
Yes. We shop all day, everyday. Please email your request and we will let you know if it’s something we can hunt down for you or fill out a style profile so we can shop for items that suit your needs.

I went to your e-store and it said it was closed. What does that mean?
It’s means we’re Haute Trotting! Unlike other stores, we rely on our fashion finds to offer our customers the best. Each item takes hours to find so sometimes this means stopping to restock. Our store will always have a reopen date and please see our Facebook to stay up to date.
